Speculators offer RTX 3080 for 60 thousand dollars – not a single video card left in the USA
Either talk about an impending global crisis is greatly exaggerated, or gamers are in a hurry to stock up on everything they need to wait out the next “Great Depression”. PS5 pre-orders started today and both console models are almost sold out in many regions. Even in Russia, there may now be problems with finding a place where an order will be accepted. But for PC gamers, things are even worse.
Sales of the RTX 3080 kicked off today. In less than a day, digital retailers in the US have run out of graphics cards. Amazon, Newegg, Best Buy, and even NVIDIA’s official website either report that graphics cards are out of stock or offer to sign up for a notification.

Moreover, even the site for checking availability NowInStock.net reflects that the main sellers have no RTX 3080 left. The situation with physical stores is no better. Users tell on Twitter that it is difficult to get the card. Even before the start of sales for the RTX 3080, queues lined up, like it’s a brand new iPhone. Maybe just instead of him and buy? Unfortunately, even in such cases there is no guarantee of getting a video card – some retailers only have 10 boxes of video cards.
Naturally, speculators are actively using this opportunity. You can already find prices up to $ 10,000 on Ebay. And one “hero” offers to buy an RTX 3080 for 60 thousand dollars.

Nvidia itself has already announced the unprecedented demand for video cards – they are taken apart literally in the first seconds of the start of sales. However, there are suspicions that all this is part of the speculators’ plan. There are reports that some reseller groups have specially prepared, but there is no confirmation of this information.
The RTX 3090 will start selling next week, September 24, but even with the launch of this monster, the supply situation could be dire for weeks or even months.
