On this page, you can learn how to start Dune Spice Wars using agent actions (missions/operations). You will also learn how to put down an uprising, what are its consequences, and how to prevent it without leading to the “Unrest” status.
The beginning and consequences of the uprising
An uprising can spring up in almost any of your cities. Its main reason is the lack of water. If it holds out for a long time, then disgruntled residents will revolt. When there is an uprising, the city will be on fire. You will receive an appropriate notification of this fact. The village in this state tends to neutralize – if the rebellion is not suppressed, the city will return to a neutral state, that is, it will not belong to any faction. During riots, the city is unproductive and the harvester does not work at all.
To crush the uprising, simply destroy all the units that appear in front of the village. However, these are not units of your militia, but armed residents, so it will not be difficult to defeat them. Everything returns to normal when order is restored. Militia units stationed in the city will not disappear.
You can also take advantage of the fact that hostile missile batteries do not function during a mutiny.

Rise of the rebellion
To cause a riot in an enemy village on your own, you must use the “Crowd Manipulation” mission. This is not the cheapest operation, but its consequences can also be devastating.
In addition, you can help the rebels so that the enemy does not capture the city again – so with little or no fight (or with a small amount of it, depending on the chosen goal), you can neutralize the enemy village by activating a strong military point, a special region, or even a resource farm.
If you attack the rebels not in your village and defeat them, then the city will return to the control of the enemy.
