TikTok may soon offer the ability to play video games. ByteDance is currently testing it on simple games, but its plans seem much more ambitious.

According to Take-Two’s financial report, video games are the largest entertainment industry in the world, and mobile production is its mainstay. So it’s no surprise that leading companies in other fields want to carve out a piece of the gaming pie. All indications are that TikTok, owned by ByteDance, wants to join this.

According to Reuters, the owners of this company began beta testing a tool dedicated to video games in Vietnam (Asia). It is based on HTML5 and its application allows users to play games on both mobile devices (phones or tablets) and computers.

It’s worth noting here that users of the Douyin app, the Chinese version of TikTok, have been able to play games on the app since 2019.
