Forspoken by Square Enix, originally announced this month, has now been pushed back to October. It is assumed that the delay is related to the release of Final Fantasy XVI.

Earlier this month, the producer of Final Fantasy XVI announced that the game is almost complete and a new trailer will be revealed soon. In January, Yoshida took to social media to inform fans of the game’s development delay, explaining that the title had been pushed back by almost half a year due to the pandemic. The first trailer for the game was revealed during the 2020 PlayStation 5 event, and very few details have been leaked since. Final Fantasy XVI is expected to release in 2022 for the PlayStation 5.

Forspoken was originally supposed to release today, May 24th, but has been delayed until October 11th. It’s a shame to move it, but Square Enix would be wise not to release two large-scale games at once.
